Dear Praying Friends,
This is not my regular monthly update (and yes, I know it is late) My son
and I have been in Longview, TX since Saturday for revival services at
Victory Baptist Church which ran from Sunday through tonight. After church
tonight we are jumping in the van and driving to Jackson MS. We will spend
the night there so that David II can spend his birthday money at suit city
in the morning, then we will see Carmen's Grandmother briefly and head for
GA. The meeting here is going well the pastor is pleased and God seems to
be working on the hearts of His people. On Wednesday night my son and I got
to preach together again as he brought a great message on things we can
learn from the Apostle Paul-(Never Give up, Proclaim the Name of the Lord,
Always love the Lord and Have the Right Priorities).
Anyway the reason for this e mail is to hit you with a couple of things we
need you to pray about. I apologize for the impersonal delivery method but
I want to get it on as many prayer lists as I can.
First- On Saturday right after we got here Carmen
called to tell me that Lena had what apeared to be a pretty bad siezure.
She has been seen 3 places this week and so far all the tests are normal.
The next step is a consult to a neurologist. Which should happen one day
next week. Needless to say it scared all of us pretty bad (Lena has been
pretty scared since it happened)
I have had a difficult time being away even though I know that I couldn't do
anything about it if I was there anyway. Please pray that the Doctors can
figure this thing out.
Second- A few minutes ago Carmen called to tell me
that right after she heard that Lena's EEG was normal she learned that her
last mamogram was not. There is something there that they are worried about
and she goes Wednesday for an ultrasound. We have been through this before
and in the past it has turned out ok so we are praying that this time it
will as well.
Please keep these couple of things before the Lord with us and as soon as I
get back and unpacked I will get you a regular update.
Thanks for your prayers,
David
