Dear Praying Friends,
I am certainly glad that July is in the books and today is August
1st. I guess July was car repair month, as many of you know our a/c
compressor that we had been fighting with for awhile died while we were on our
way from Maine to New York. After we got this problem resolved we had to
replace our front brakes, have our transmission serviced, get an oil change,
lube the bearings on our trailer and replace one of our trailer tires. I am
glad that we got it all done and am amazed at God's provision and the
generosity of His people that made all of this possible.
In July we were in 7 different churches in 6 northeastern states (ME,
MA, NH, PA, NJ & DE). We saw God move in the meetings with salvation
decisions and other important decisions made, saw some old friends and made
some new ones along the way. All the services were good but the two that
stand out in my mind are First Baptist Church in Perth Amboy where God met
with us in a real way, and Slippery Rock Baptist Church in Slippery Rock,
PA were they have had their pastor for about 18 months and the group that was
20 is now 200.
Recently God has been teaching me some lessons in two areas that I
wanted to share with you:
1) Provision-God has been so good to us and met our every
need we saw Him help us out with huge repair bills last month. We need to say
thanks again to the folks who helped during this trying time. He has also
provided for us through our monthly support. When we started back on the road
15 months ago we had just over $200 a month in support. We now have about
four times that coming in every month. We have a long way to go, but God has
been providing for us in a great way.
2) Patience-One of the hardest lesson for me to learn is the
lesson of patience. I always want everything to happen right now. It has
taken a little bit of time to get our schedule built up, but God has and is
doing so. We have just a few openings the rest of this year and are getting
close to Half full for 2004. We are thankful for a busy schedule and ample
opportunities to serve the Lord. When we began to ponder a truck and trailer,
again I would prefer if everything happened right now but we
trust that God will work this out in his time. At the present we have had
$1,200 given towards this. Tonight we had dinner with friends that told us
they were putting a $500.00 check in the mail tomorrow to our church for the
trailer fund. So slowly but surely the money is coming in. Please
pray for God's will regarding these things. Also pray that we
will learn to depend on God's timing.
There are a number of new things up on our web site including our
recent prayer letters and e mail updates, check them out at:

or you can view our schedule which is up through September at:
http://www.isemingerfamily.org/Itinerary.htm I am sure that he
would prefer that I didn't mention him, but I would like to thank Luke Potter
for all that he does maintaining our web site. I have had great comments from
people who have viewed the web site and the Potter's were already doing so
much behind the scenes for us before he took this on, but we are grateful for
all he has done and continues to do for us.
We are grateful for your continued
prayer on our behalf. September is prayer letter month and we will look
forward to bringing it to you the first of next month.
