Dear Friends,
Just a quick note to say Happy New Year, (Speaking of which I have been
wondering why all the holidays are happy except Christmas which is merry, That
is about a perplexing as "I" being capitalized and "a" being lower case, if
anyone knows the reason to any of these things I would be interested in knowing)
I hope your year is off to a good start and you had a good Christmas.
We had a great Christmas but I am glad to be settling back in to a normal
routine. We are looking for a good year and hope you are also.
I wanted to mention that there are a few new firefighter stories on the web site
as well as a new article in the article section dealing with the subject of
discipleship. I hope you will take a minute and read it (Especially if you are a
pastor). There should also be another firefighter story or two up soon as well.
Now on the main page there are links to the new things right under our picture.
So if you go to the main page (link below) you can get to all of the new things
from there.
I am presently working on converting a series on church discipline to articles
and would hope that they are up by February 1.
Please pray for Carmen, she seems to be digressing rather quickly no matter what
the doctors try to do. I am pretty disturbed and it is difficult to watch her
being able to do less and less without being able to do anything about it.
Please pray for her.
I also wanted to plug a meeting in Frederick, MD Coming up on February 18-19. We
will be holding a "School of Prayer" At Ambassador Baptist Church. On Saturday
there will be multiple sessions of instruction on the subject of prayer with the
Sunday services having the same emphasis. I have no time info for Saturday
as of yet but Those of you within driving distance of Frederick may be
interested in the Saturday sessions if you are, let me know and I will get you
the info when I get it. If you are not in the area but are interested in the
workbook I am laying out or recordings of the sessions (however I am not sure
they will be taped) I would be happy to make any of that available to you at no
cost, just let me know
