Dear Praying Friends,
I wanted to take a second and ask you to pray on our behalf. Yesterday
(Saturday) we were traveling between Maine and our next appointment in Stony
Creek, NY Somewhere in New Hampshire on I 89 our AC compressor which has been
giving us problems for the last several months, and quit blowing cold air
several weeks ago, finally just froze up. On our van it is one belt that runs
everything, so when it froze it shredded the belt and we were stuck. I called
our pastor and he tried to think of someone he knew in the area that might be
able to help. He couldn't find anyone he knew but he was able to locate an
Independent Baptist church of like faith about 30 minutes away and contacted the
pastor. A few minutes later I got a call from pastor Joe Scearbo of Olivet
Baptist Church in West Lebanon, NH and he told me he was calling a tow truck and
was on his way down to where we were. Pastor Scearbo arranged to have us towed
to a garage near his church and he carried Carmen and the kids in his car while
I road in the tow truck. He put us in a hotel near the church and picked us up
this morning for church. To sum it up what they have done, Pastor Scearbo and
his church (Who don't know us or Pastor Tharp from Adam) have:
1) Driven 40 minutes down the road to pick us up
2) paid our tow bill
3) put us up in a hotel for at least 3 nights
4) taken us out to eat once and given us money for other meals
5) loaned us there van to get around town
We praise the Lord for his watch care over us and the goodness of these dear
folks who were willing to help us out. Tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM I will be at
the garage to talk to the service manager about getting the van fixed. please
pray with us about a couple of things:
1) pray that the garage has the parts or can get them quickly
2) pray that the bill will be reasonable
3) pray that we will not miss our Wednesday meeting in Holyoke, MA
4) pray that God will help us make up for missing our meeting today
5) pray that we will be able to catch up with our mail (we had our mail sent to
NY where we did not get, and there is more mail going to MA)
We have seen God's hand in this situation as you can tell, we covet your prayers
for a quick recovery so we can get going again, I will keep you posted on what
is happening
We have thanked Pastor Scearbo profusely, but we know that some of you would
like the opportunity to thank him also for helping us also. Here is his e-mail
address if you would like to do so. olivetnh@earthlink.net

Dear Praying Friends,
Well the Chrysler dealer that has our van just informed me that the a/c
compressors are on national back order but he thinks he located one that he can
get here in the morning. If he gets it early enough the van will be done
tomorrow afternoon, if not it will likely be Thursday. Also it looks like the
repair bill will be in the $600-700 range. Please pray with us that the
compressor will come in tomorrow morning. If the van is not done until Thursday,
our plan is to rent a car Wednesday morning and head to Holyoke MA for our
Wednesday meeting leaving our trailer here I will then come back up here on
Thursday morning, return the rental, pick up our van and trailer and head back
to MA.
We are grateful for your prayers to this point please continue to pray that
everything falls into place.

Dear Praying Friends,
As of noon on Tuesday July 8 the parts are in for the van. I have been given the
assurance of the service manager that it will be ready to go first thing
Thursday morning. The pastor here has told us we can use his van to go to
Holyoke MA for our meeting tomorrow and the hotel has agreed to let us leave our
cargo trailer here one extra day. Our plan now is to leave tomorrow to make the
120 mile trip to Holyoke in Pastor Scearbo's van with our display, Bibles and
enough stuff to spend the night then I will get up early Thursday morning and be
back up here when the dealer opens at 8:00 AM, pick up our van, return the
pastor's van, grab our trailer and head back to Mass. then we will be down there
until we head to Slippery Rock, PA on Saturday.
Please continue to pray that all of this will come to pass without any problems
and things will continue to move forward.

Dear Praying Friends,
We had good services at Mountain View Baptist Church in Holyoke, MA on
Wednesday. Thursday morning we headed back to New Hampshire to get our van and
cargo trailer. We went to the garage, paid the bill ($550) and started the van.
The good thing was it was running, the bad thing was it was blowing hot air.
They pulled it back into the shop and discovered a hole in the condenser, which
was the problem that ruined the first compressor. My first thought was to drive
it they way it was, but with the hole in the condenser and no oil in the A/C
system it would have caused the new compressor to fail at some point it was just
a matter of time, so we had to have them fix it which was another $405. After we
got this taken care of we had good services there at Olivet Baptist in W.
Lebanon where they folks have been so good to us this week. After church we
headed back to MA. Proving that July must be repair month for the Isemingers the
wear indicators on our brakes started howling on the way home, so early Friday
morning I was at Midas getting new brakes to the tune of $150.
What a time of contrasts this week has been: we missed a meeting in NY but got
an extra one in NH. We missed seeing folks we knew in NY but made new friends in
NH. We incurred major expenses in repair but God is providing, we received huge
help from the NH church in the way of the hotel, tow, food and the van they
loaned us, plus they gave us a good love offering for preaching, Our home church
and at least one other is stepping in to help with the repair cost, so we are
reminded once again that God is able.
I am reminded of Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things
work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called
according to his purpose." God didn't promise that all things would be
good, as some misquote this verse, but that all things would work together for
good. And they have, Praise the Lord, It has been a difficult, stressful,
expensive week, but through God's mercy and grace we are coming out none the
worse, we are up and running again and probably a little more rested than we
were a week ago.
Thanks for all of your prayers.
Because of Calvary,
David Iseminger
