Dear Folks,

It has been a few weeks so I thought I would touch base and let you know things are still progressing down here in GA. We have been praying for 20 in church and Sunday morning we had 19, we also had 3 visitors Sunday morning and one Sunday evening. The one man who came Sunday night came specifically because we left a flyer in his door while we were out on visitation. That was great for the church folks to see because the folks in this church as well as many others in this area have been fed a steady diet of "That don't work no more" by their lazy pastors.
I will believe that when God sees fit to update His word, until then I will continue to believe, preach and practice that the way to build a church is by going out and telling folks about Jesus.

We have a map in the office on which we drew a 1/2 mile circle around the church. Our first goal has been to visit all of the houses within 1/2 mile of the church. Once that is done we will widen the circle to 1 mile and so on. I have attached 2 pictures the first shows that we are well on our way to covering the first half mile, even going beyond on one side, the second puts that in perspective of the city of Macon.

Please continue to pray that God will have his way and continue to work here. Thank you so much for your prayers and support, that is a vital component to this work.

Dear Folks,

It was another good week here in GA, it was hot but the work is progressing, we have started to paint the nursery and continued with the visitation. We have settled into promoting visitation to the church folks for Thursday night and Saturday morning, this week we had 4 out on Thursday and 8 on Saturday morning. There were 5 people outside of our family that went visiting last week which is a good thing.

God blessed yesterday, as I have mentioned, we have been praying for 20, we had 24 yesterday with several first time visitors. We have had 4 folks in the last 2 weeks come as a direct result of the visitation, so much for the "it don't work no more" theory. At the moment I have 8 visitors cards on my desk that need follow up done on them, which is a good problem to have (These are all from the last 2 Sundays) I recently put the visitor's card file in chronological order and out of curiosity this morning I pulled out the 8 most recent visitors cards, they include the 2 cards that are on file for all of 2004 and the 8th card is from June of 2003.

Please pray that the progress will continue and the God will continue to bless, pray also for the follow up and continued visitation. As an added note please pray for Carmen's health, she has been seeing some local doctors since the Mexico trip is on indefinite hold, and she has been feeling particularly bad since the middle of last week.

Thanks for praying, look forward to updating you again soon.

Dear Praying Friends,

I have been updating just our supporters on a pretty regular basis but it has been a while since I have updated all of our e mail list so I thought I would take a minute and do that.

Things in GA are progressing pretty well. We have instituted church visitation on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. Folks have been getting involved, in the last two weeks we have had 10 different people involved and have been able to put as many as 4 teams out on the street.

God has blessed those efforts and the last two Sunday Mornings we have had 24 in church. Yesterday we had 5 first time visitors and 5 repeat visitors with 4 of our regulars being gone.

Last week on Tuesday I was able to talk to a young man name Chris Smith who was at the end of his rope and under conviction. Chris trusted the Lord and was in church on Wednesday. He is presently working out of town and when he returns we will begin to disciple him. Please keep him in your prayers.

I am not sure if I have mentioned it before or not but we have a zoning issue with the trailer being parked at the church. We have gotten some legal advice and have appealed the decision, we have a hearing before the board on June 13 which has affected a scheduled trip, which I am not at all happy about but it is an issue that must be resolved.

As you see there is much going on. please keep it all in prayer and pray that God will continue to move and work here in GA. Our June prayer letter will be out shortly.
