Dear Praying Friends,
Sorry you didn’t hear from me last month but I had a computer problem and I just now regained the majority of my email addresses. There has been a lot happen since you last got an update from us. We wrapped up our direct involvement with Grace Baptist Church in French Lick Indiana after a little over three months on Sunday Oct. 18. They are looking closely at a prospective pastor and I expect that to be wrapped up in the next few weeks. David II and Emilee got swine flu just before we left Indiana and we wound up at Emmanuel Baptist in Claysburg, PA for two weeks recovering. We are grateful to them for making the house available to us.
Just yesterday we arrived safe and sound in Lansing, MI to begin to set up shop at Needmore Independent Baptist Church in Charlotte, MI. This is another typical project for us, their pastor resigned (his last day was this past Sunday so God has arranged a pretty seamless transition) and the church is small and needs help (there were 5 families, including ours, represented in church last night).
This morning we are going to check out of the hotel and begin to move into the parsonage, where we will be staying while we are here. Please pray we can get settled quickly and get started with the work at hand. We will be sure to keep you updated as to our progress and needs. Initially I would ask you to pray for Guidance and wisdom as week seek direction and a game plan from the Lord and for unity among the folks during this time.
I should also mention that Lena is doing well at college, we are sure looking forward to having her home for thanksgiving and then again for Christmas. Also October brought word of a new supporter: Grace Baptist Church in Zachary, LA so Praise the Lord!!!
