November 4, 2010
Dear Friends,
Just a quick note to let you know we are alive and well in what is soon to be the great white north. We actually should see a bit of snow over the weekend but it won’t amount to much. Another month has come and gone and we are still here plugging away. God has been working and we are glad for progress.
As far as the church here at Needmore goes we are still seeing slow growth, we have had Sunday morning attendance slide into the 40’s once but it is typically somewhere in the mid 30’s regularly…what a difference a year makes, again, Praise the Lord for progress. Last month we added another Sunday School class (our 5th) so we now have all the age groups covered and it seems to be going well. We are also now regularly staffing the nursery. We are gearing up for our Harvest Dinner on the 13th and talking about putting together some sort of Christmas program as well. The parsonage got new windows this week, which will likely be the last construction project for the year as winter is closing in….there are a few things being talked about for as soon as the weather breaks. Please keep praying for the church and the work here.
Our home church, Lincoln Ave. Baptist in Ionia is still without a pastor and struggling with a number of things, please pray for them as you can also.
The kids are all well, Lena worked a seasonal job that is over now, but it gave her some spending money which she likes to have. She has picked up a few piano students that keep her hopping. David II is awaiting deer season and working on an blind in the woods….He is determined to get a dear this year..I guess you can take the boy out of PA but you can’t take PA out of the boy J , He has been preaching some, and did an amazing job here at Needmore last Sunday night, he is also working regularly in our Junior Church. Emilee is working on piano, nursery duty in the church and staying busy with school as well. Her fascination with doing nails continues and she keeps her mom, sister and a few of the young ladies in the church going with that.
I am pretty well ok. I did have a good birthday last month. My knee is still somewhat of an issue, my dr. seems to think I have torn my meniscus, I didn’t even know I had one so I have no idea how I could have possibly torn it, but this coming Sunday night I am getting an MRI and I have no idea what they will do from there.
Carmen has been patiently (or not so patiently) waiting for a referral to see a neurologist at U of M in Ann Arbor. We finally got the appointment but it is not till May, needless to say no one is real happy about that but we will just hope the time goes quickly.
Her birthday is tomorrow (Saturday Nov. 6) if you think about it shoot her a quick email at carmeniseminger@dishmail.net and tell her happy birthday. I am sure she would appreciate that.
Until next month, thanks again for your prayers and support.
Because of Calvary,
David Iseminger
