Dear Praying Friends,
Wow, what a month August was, I am sure glad it is September. As I recall I
wrote the August update from a hotel room coming back from a funeral that was
after our Louisiana trip, out of town company and church picnic. After we got
over all of that and spent two weeks in Charlotte, we made a trip to pick up
Annemarie (David II’s girlfriend) and the next day we headed east, after two
days in Maryland seeing friends, family and sightseeing in DC we headed to PA
for a revival meeting at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Claysburg. God gave us a
good week with the church and allowed us to see some friends and family and gave
us good visits. We made it home safely and started digging through the backlog
of things to do that naturally occur after being gone so much.
I Mentioned that God was working in our vehicle situation. We have been given
some vehicle money and are praying for more. But in addition to the money, Grace
Baptist Church in Zachary Louisiana gave us a 1995 Ford conversion van with
119,000 miles on it, they also flew us down to get in and helped with the
expenses of the return trip. Since July 24 when we got it, we have put about
4.000 miles on it and it has preformed well. It is a great van for running down
the highway but not so great for zipping around town. Our present thought is
that we are going to designate this as our travel van and use it for our out of
town trips and after Monday when we are taking Annemarie back to Chicago, we are
going to begin car shopping for something that will be good for local use and
getting around town. Our caravan is now over 300,000 miles (which is a first for
us) and I am interested in seeing how long it will run. As we make decisions
about what to buy and what if anything we should do with the caravan we ask that
you pray for God’s wisdom. He has always been good to us in the transportation
department and given us supernatural service out of everything we have ever
bought, so we need His Direction on our next daily driver.
Things at Needmore are stable. August brought new visitors, repeat visitors and
a new van rider as well. Please pray for God’s continued blessing and for wisdom
and direction for the future of the church. September will find us busy as
always, October will take us to at least one night of a missions conference in
Ionia and we will have lots going on here at Needmore as well. Lena is home (we
got her back when we were in MD) and all seems right in the world.
Please continue to pray for our family and our ministry. October is prayer
letter month so we will be brining you a more detailed report.
Because of Calvary,
David F. Iseminger Th.D.
