Dear Praying Friends,

I trust this letter finds each of you busy and doing well. I apologize for the lateness of this letter but I was waiting for some things in order to bring you the most accurate and up to date information available. We don’t have all of the information we were waiting for but we are going to go ahead and get this out and update you on the rest of it as soon as we can.

If you get our email updates I will get you the new information as soon as it is available. Again, I apologize for the delay in getting this letter out.

Ministry Update

As you know we are still working at Needmore Baptist Church in Charlotte, MI. Things continue to crawl forward (which is certainly better that crawling backward) and we are staying plenty busy with the work here.

There are several things upcoming here that we are excited about. This year July 4th falls on a Sunday. We are planning a God and Country Sunday which will include our best attempt at recreating a colonial era worship service among other things. We have a statement going in the local paper and are heavily distributing flyers in our area as well.

Next up will be a group of about 20 folks coming from Grace Baptist Church in Zachary, LA They will be here from July 19-26 and we are looking for big things during that week as well.  We are planning Backyard Bible Clubs in several areas, lots of door to door work and a Sunday night service completely ran by the young people.

As I mentioned in our last letter, not only does this work go on but we continue to do what we can in other church situations as we can. America continues to decline and our churches continue to have problems, so there is always conversations to be had, insight to pass on and praying to do. Between that, the family and the work here in Charlotte, we have been able to stay plenty busy and I don’t see that changing anytime soon.

I have not had much of a chance to even think about preaching anywhere else, I did preach a special service at a local camp for Memorial Day and will be doing so again on Monday July 5th, other than that, the work here and Carmen’s health has kept us close to home, we do have a few things taking shape for August which we will update you on as they materialize.
Family Update

By the time you get this Emilee will have had her 15th birthday and Lena will be heading to New Jersey for a few weeks with friends. She had a good 19th Birthday and continues to pray about what God has for her future.

David and Emilee are both done with school for the year and when they start back in the fall they will be in 10th and 12th grades. David has also been taking some Bible College classes by correspondence and hopes to make good progress in that before he starts back to his regular studies in the fall.

Carmen is continuing to see doctors, and get poked, prodded and tested. To this point the tests to rule out the “simple” things have come back negative, this is certainly frustrating and taxing. Next up for her is an appointment with a neurologist in mid July. Please pray with us about this and all that is related to it.

Support Update

As I mentioned earlier. We are not in a position to get to any other churches, new or otherwise, so this leaves our support at a basic standstill. We are certainly grateful that the vast majority of our supporters have been faithful and consistent. A few have even given some extra for which we are grateful.

We have seen in the past that God has increased our support when we were in a similar situation and could not do anything to raise additional support. Please pray with us that God might do this for us again and that our supporters would remain faithful and that God would sustain us and meet our needs.
Prayer Requests

Carmen's health issues.  As I mentioned in the family update, the doctoring continues and the bills are coming in. Financially this course of action has the potential to get out of hand rather quickly. These are things that must be done no mater what the cost. We are praying for wisdom and provision and ask that you do the same. Please pray that God will give us wisdom, give us answers and meet the many needs in this area.

Pray for Churches.  As I have already mentioned we are talking to several pastorless churches as well as some folks dealing with some very serious internal church problems. Please pray for these and other churches and our country.

Support.  As always, we are in need of support. Please pray God continues to provide daily for our needs and also long term with the support we need.

We continue to be grateful for each of you and for your part in all that we do. Please continue to pray and we will update you again soon.
