Dear Praying Friends  & Supporters,

Greetings from Sunny Florida.  We trust you are all well.  That is the case with us as you will see as you read  this report.

News From the Road

December-February are usually a bit slower for us than the rest of the year.  In January & February we were in 10 Different churches in 6 States.

We started out with what turned out to be a marathon trip. We headed out of GA on January 8 for Hanover, PA. While we were up there our kids were asked to sing in a conference in MD, which they did (and did well, if I may say so)  We left MD early on the 14th for North Carolina, got in, preached, slept a bit and were headed for GA before 6 AM.  We got in, unpacked, repacked and Dylan and I jumped in the Chaney’s truck and headed for Elkhart to pick up our trailer.  We made a quick stop to see Dr. Chaney in the hospital (more on that later) during which time the Lamb’s (our friends from GA) convinced me that I needed their help with the driving (which I did) we connected about 9:00 PM in Atlanta.  We drove straight through to Elkhart arriving about 9:30 AM, picked up the trailer, had lunch with the Potters, who came down from MI to take pictures for the web site, and headed back out.  By the time we got to Indianapolis at 8:00 PM I had been in a car 48 of the last 60 hours and could go no further.  We spent the night there, woke up to Ice the next morning, which delayed us and Finally made it back to GA about 2:00 AM on Sunday January 18.

During that week we moved our stuff into our new home and got situated and prepared to leave out for IN.  All during this time Carmen was not feeling well.  That added to the fact that Wal-Mart striped 6 lug nuts and 1 stud on our van prompted me to make a last minute change and fly to the IN meetings.  We had safe travels and good services in all 3 churches.

I flew back to Atlanta on Feb. 5 and we left the next day  for 2 meetings in Texas.

Family News

The big news is that Emilee got her cast off and is doing well.

Dylan turned 11 in February and we had a surprise party for him, which was a first and was enjoyed by all.

I only have one more prayer letter to write before Lena becomes our first teenager in June.  She is doing well and growing up fast.

I mentioned earlier that Carmen had not been feeling well and when I was in IN she went to see the Doctor.  We found out she had bronchitis, a sinus infection, fluid behind both eardrums and one ear infection.  He prescribed some medicine and she is doing much better.

Financial Update

The Lord continues to do amazing things for us in the area of finances.  The Lord has added the following folks to our family of supporters since our last update:

  • Needmore Ind. Baptist Church, Charlotte, MI Pastor Bob Etzel

  • Lingenfelter Family  Claysburg, PA

As far as the truck fund goes, we have received 9 gifts ranging in size from $20 to $700 and totaling $1945.  We are actively looking for a truck and praying for the Lord’s provision.  We covet your prayers in this area as well.

Now Scheduling Longer Term Church Helps

For some time now we have been presenting in churches our desire to be able to go into a church and spend a period of time being a help, knocking on doors, training Sunday School teachers, or doing what ever we can do to help.  We have been asking for prayers in 3 areas to make this a reality. Monthly support, A trailer and a truck.

I am excited to report that with all the progress being made in these areas we are beginning to  schedule some of these times in 2005.  Our plan is to schedule several months  next year this way and much of 2006. We are trusting that our supporters will remain faithful and that through this year and the other half of 2005 we will be able to raise the rest of the support that we need.

Given our present support level. The timing of these meetings will be critical and we will have to place them at certain points in our schedule.

We have limited time left in 2005 in which we can schedule these meetings and I believe the slots will go quickly.  I am beginning to contact the churches that have expressed an interest in having us come.   If you are interested in having us come when we can please let us know.

Vacation Bible School

We are in the planning stages for this year’s VBS program.  We have a new puppet to introduce this year as well as a new puppet stage that I just finished building.  We could do 2 more Bible Schools this year, a 3-4 day north of GA but South of NY in July and up to a 5 day anywhere in the North east in August.  If you are interested in one of these slots please let us know.  Also summer of 2005 is looking pretty hectic already if you are interested in planning ahead.

 Pray for Dr. Chaney

I mentioned earlier that on our way to Indiana to get our trailer, we stopped to see Dr. Chaney in the hospital.  He has been having ongoing problems with  his heart and in January he had 2 new stints put in.  They do not seem to be helping  much and he will be back in GA to see the Doctor again early in march.  The health problems have hurt his schedule this year and they have had problems getting their health insurance to pay as well.  The Chaney’s would certainly appreciate your prayers for Health as well as God’s provision.

Our Itinerary

Here is our schedule for March through May.  There are a few open dates that we need to fill in. We are adding dates about every week, so by the time you get this there will no doubt be some meetings that are not listed here. Check our web site for the most current schedule information.  As always, if you are coming to see us, please call or e mail to confirm the information.  Please pray for safe travel and for God’s Power in the meetings.  Click HERE to see our current schedule.

Prayer Requests

“And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the

synagogues and in the corners of the

streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.  But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.”:

Matthew 6:5,6

As you pray for us and with us, we covet your prayers for the following specific things:

God’s Power in the Meetings

Safety as we travel

Our 2004 & 2005 Schedule

God’s wisdom & Provision for a truck

Wisdom in scheduling  church helps
