Dear Praying Friends,

Well, here we are in October, as hard as that is for me to believe, my calendar tells me it is true.  2006 is about over and 2007 is looming large on the horizon.

We have been busy and I have much to inform you about.  So as usual I hope you will take a minute, read this letter and take note of the news and prayer requests.

 News From Macon

Praise the Lord the temperature is finally starting to drop!!

As has been the case for some time, Our primary focus continues to be Ayers Road Baptist Church here in Macon, GA.  Since our last letter we have baptized and added several folks to the church family, which is a good thing, and many of our stated objectives have been fulfilled.

I believe the rest of this year will be a critical time for the church here.  Please keep them in your prayers as we try to steer them through the next few steps they need to take.

Please pray for laborers.  Now more than ever, people need to step up, assume some responsibilities and Serve the Lord in their Church.  We know that God is not going to bless the people until they follow His commands and do the will for their lives and the life of their church.

We realize more every day how vulnerable the church is to attacks from the devil and covet your prayers for the church here as they press on and look toward the future.

 Family Update

Though there are not nearly as many pressing things to report as there has been in recent letters, there are still some things to fill you in on.

As of last month the kids are back in school again with Lena in tenth grade, David II in eighth grade and Emilee in sixth grade.  All three are off to a great start.

Lena’s health issues seem to be on going.  Since our last letter we have had her to a pediatric neurologist.  He was a really good Dr. and we were pleased that we were able to get into someone with his qualifications.  He told us that Lena is having a seizure when she is loosing her eye sight before the migraine sets in and the migraine is a result of the seizure.  The medical term for it all is Epilepsy.   He prescribed her the latest anti-seizure/anti-migraine medicine which has a huge list of side effects.  So at the present we have not started her on the medicine.  She has only had two of these seizures in the last 8 weeks, so we have decided to continue dealing with it as is and watch the situation and rethink it all if necessary.

Carmen continues to do better than she has in a long time, though of late she has not been feeling real great.  She has recently started physical therapy 2 days a week to try and help with her back problems.

By the time you get this letter

I will be 39.  I vowed to not celebrate in hopes that I would be able to stop the ageing process but my children assure me there is no getting away from turning older!  Much to their enjoyment I must add!

Other than that it is pretty well business as usual for all of us, which can be a good thing from time to time.

Looking to the Future

As I mentioned in our last letter.  We are praying about future tasks.  At this point we are investigating a number of situations that God has laid on our hearts and praying for God’s direction.  Please pray that God will show us exactly what His will is and we will do exactly what He has for us to do.

I am sure as things become more clear  we will keep you posted on what is happening.

Prayer Requests

In addition to all of the things I have already mentioned, as you pray for us, please remember things in the following areas:

Ayers Road Baptist Church

It seems that right now is a critical time for the church.  There are important decisions being made and others that need to be made.  We are praying that the individuals in the church will make the right decisions that are necessary to carry the church forward.

We are pretty certain that we know what the Lord wants.  Because of this we are certain that if people will earnestly seek the Lord’s will He will reveal it to them.

Please pray for the members and the future of Ayers Road Baptist Church.

The Iseminger Family

Of course we have ongoing concerns with Carmen and Lena that need prayer.

We are praying for direction and guidance for the future of our ministry and family.

As I have already mentioned our kid’s schooling for the present year. (they are off to a good start)

Lena and Emilee’s progress on the piano.   (This is a rare opportunity for them and they want and need to get all they can.)

The Needs of the Ministry

There are a number of things that we are praying about in this area including:

¨ The best and most inexpensive way to move our camper when the time comes (there are several options available, we are weighing the options and praying about each of them)

¨ The power of God on our ministry here and in our upcoming meetings. (we will be traveling to 5 churches in October and November)

¨ Safe travel

¨ Continued good service of our van (It just turned 155,000 miles and we need to get at least 2 more years from it.)

Those on the Road and      Missionaries on the field

I mentioned in our last letter to pray for those on the road full time.  Since then gas has been on the decline but it is still at or above $2.00 a gallon in most of the country.  Please continue to pray about this.

Another thing along these lines is the status of our missionaries on the field.  Most of the pastors I have talked to recently have commented that they have missionaries coming home from the field, and most of them are citing financial reasons.  Most of Europe is paying upwards of $6.00 a gallon for gas and with the dollar weakening against their currency they just can’t make ends meet. ~ Just something else we all need to pray about.

On behalf of my family, our pastor and church family at Lincoln Ave. Baptist Church in Ionia, MI and the folks we presently serve at Ayers Road Baptist church in Macon, GA: Thank you for doing your part to keep us on the firing line.  We couldn’t do it without you and we are grateful to be in the battle  with all of you.

We will look forward to updating you again in December with the end of year update and hopes and prayers for the New Year.

Because of Calvary,

The Iseminger Family
