We believe
that the Bible is God’s Word, that it was written by men divinely and
uniquely inspired, that it is absolutely trustworthy, that it has supreme
authority in all matters of faith and conduct and is perfectly preserved in
the Authorized King James Bible. II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21; John
16:12-13; Psalms 12:6-7.
We believe that there is one, and only one, living and true God and
that in the unity of the godhead there are three persons: the Father, the
Son, and the Holy Ghost, equal in every divine perfection and executing
distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption. John 4:24;
Matthew 3:16-17; 1 John 5:7.
We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s only begotten
Son, who became man without ceasing to be God. He was conceived of the Holy
Spirit, born of the virgin Mary and sinless in His life. Jesus Christ made
atonement for the sin of the world by His death on the cross and the
shedding of His blood. We believe in His bodily resurrection, ascension into
heaven, priestly intercession and in His personal imminent, pre-tribulation
and pre-millennial coming for all saved believers. John 1:1-3, 3:16; II
Corinthians 5:21; Romans 3:24-4:25, 8:34; I Peter 1:3-5, 2:24; Ephesians
1:7; I Thessalonians 4:13-18, 1:10; Zachariah 14:4-11; Revelation 19:11-16,
20:1-6, 3:10; Acts 1:9-10; Hebrew 7:25, 9:12, 9:24; I John 2:1-2.
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God and by the
direct act of God but that in Adam’s sin the entire human race fell,
inherited a sinful nature and became alienated from God. Man is totally
depraved and of himself utterly unable to remedy this condition. We
therefore believe that all men by nature and by choice are sinners and that
those who accept Christ as their Lord and Savior will rejoice forever in
God’s presence, and those who refuse to accept Christ as Lord and Savior
will forever be separated from God in eternal Hell. Genesis 1:26-27; Romans
3:22-23, 5:12; Ephesians 2:1-3, 8:10, 12, 1:7; John 1:12; I Peter 1:18-19;
Matthew 25:46.
We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from God
to reprove the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. The Holy
Spirit was also sent to teach, to dwell in and comfort those who have
accepted Jesus Christ as Savior. John 16:7-11; John 14:16, 17, 26
We believe that a New Testament Church is a local, visible, company of
believers, called-out ones, in Jesus Christ. We believe that the members in
a New Testament Church are buried with Christ in baptism and that the church
was given the ordinances of baptism and the observance of the Lord’s Supper,
“Till He come”. Ephesians 1:22-23; I Corinthians 12:12-14; II Corinthians
11:2; I Corinthians 11:26
We believe that the baptism of believers is by immersion in water, unto the
name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost; that Baptism shows
obedience to the scripture symbolizing the death burial and resurrection of
Jesus Christ; that believers baptism is a pre-requisite to church
membership. Matthew 3:6, 13-17, 28:19-30; Mark 1:9-11; Acts 2:41; Romans
6:4; Colossians 2:12.
We believe that the Lord’s Supper is a memorial of the
Lord’s death; the unleavened bread symbolizing His broken body, and the
grape juice symbolizing His blood; to be done “in remembrance of Me” (Luke
22:19). “for as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do show
the Lord’s death till He come.” (I Corinthians 11:26). We reject, as false,
that the Lord’s Supper has any sacramental values. Matthew 26:25-30; Mark
14:22-28; Luke 22:19-20; I Corinthians 11:23-29.
We believe in the absolute separation of church and state. Matthew 22:19-21.
We believe that the church is independent and
autonomous, and must be kept free from interference by any ecclesiastical or
political authority. That the local church can be associated with other
Baptist churches of like faith, position, and practice for fellowship and
the spread of the Gospel.
We believe that Satan is a created being, the author of sin, and the cause
of the fall; that he is the open and declared enemy of God and man; and that
he shall be eternally punished in the Lake of Fire. Job 1:6-7; Isaiah
14:12-17; Matthew 4:2-11, 25:41; Revelation 20:10.
We believe that the civil government is of divine
appointment for the interest and good order of human society. Magistrates
are to be prayed for conscientiously, honored, and obeyed, except only in
the things opposed to the will of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the only
Lord of our conscience, and the Prince of the kings of earth. II Samuel
23:3; Matthew 4:2-11; Titus 3:1; I Timothy 2:1-8; Romans 13:1-7; Acts
4:18-20; Revelation 19:16.
We believe in the eternal security of the believer as kept by God’s power,
indwelt by the Holy Spirit, and are thus secured in Christ forever. John
6:37-40, 10:27-30; Romans 8:1, 9, 11, 38-39, 13:13-14; I John 5:13; I Peter
1:5.
We reject Calvinism, the ecumenical movement and the
charismatic movement as unbiblical false doctrine (Far to many references to
list)
